How to Make your blog Loads Faster

Posted on 1:02 PM by Mohamed Omar

There's alot of ways to make your blog faster but at first you can test your blog Speed through the following Link.
You can see my blog speed test :

you can see the Load Time it's 13 seconds only ...
For large sites it can be good till 2 seconds but more than 2 second is very bad :((

So take this tips on:

  1. Videos , Widgets, and Sounds:
    • Sure it's good to have videos, sounds, widgets, adds, and a lot of other interesting things but, you will have to delete them all except the important things and delete the others.
    • For videos don't upload your own videos but take videos from youtube only ( How to upload videos from youtube )

  2. Images and Pictures:
    • If you have a lot of images you will have to reduce them there size, don't upload large sized images. You can press right click on the image and click properties to know it's size.
    • Don't use bmp extensions for pictures because it's very large size. Just use gif for standard graphic pictures and jpeg for graphical pictures as they are more clearer

  3. JavaScript:
    • Reduce the using of JavaScript language in your template, as it takes a lot of time to load

  4. HTML Clean Up:
    • If you know a bit about HTML code then go to Layout and press Edit Html, Then look for white space and delete it
    • There are also empty tags you will find in your template as
      <div> </div>
      <font> </font>
      <b> </b>
    • It's not a b to remove those tags because they don't include any code, do it and don't be afraid :D

  5. Choosing your blog template
    • All what you have to do is not to choose big templates and don't choose the templates with a lot of graphics and pictures
    • your chosen template must be simple as all of fast blogs are simple in design

  6. Page contents
    • if you done all the previous methods and you found your blog still slow in loading then the last way you do is to reduce the page contnets
    • you have to reduce the number of posts in each page .. at the worst case you may reduce it to 1 post per page ( How to change number of post per page )

Now test your speed after doing that all and tell me if there's changes :D
