Encounter with physics (part one)

Posted on 6:26 PM by Mohamed Omar

Physics: It is the science that seeks the interpretation of all physical and cosmological phenomena, and the understanding of :

  • How things work
  • Why things repeating themselves under the same conditions
Importance of physics:
  1. Explaining all the phenomena around us
  2. Setting up basic laws and theories
  3. Applying these laws and theories in all fields such as (medicine – engineering – agriculture – science)
Basic laws of the universe: they explain all the universal phenomena we deal with (scientific situation need to be explained)

Characteristics of Basic laws:
  1. Describe what exits
  2. with each other (form a package)
  3. None contradicts another
Scientific physical thinking:
  1. Observe a problem
  2. Make a hypothesis
  3. Design an experiment and Observe/Take Data
  4. and Analyze/Interpret the Data
  5. Make conclusions by forming the simplest general rule
Scientific physical methods: it is the coincidence of scientific physical thinking with the logical philosophical thinking in pragmatic methods of research

Physical quantities: it is any quantity which can be determined and has a unit of measurement such as (length – mass – time – area – volume – velocity …… etc.)
